Got Some E-Mails To Send...

not there are many who send any my way and to see if some are ok as they've disappeared off the face off the Earth.

It seems a bit chillier today even indoors in my bedroom(even under the bedclothes)I may have a look in the supermarket later just for a break from being indoors. ETA:I stayed in.

I think that I will make the effort later to do something nice for my evening meal. I had a couple rolls today and used up some tomato, egg and ham.Whatever I decide tonight I'll try and add some vegetable content.

Sorry that I have hit a period where its quite dull around here at present unless I go all political and talk about news stories. And I do try to avoid doing too much of that here. But lets see what happens when I go to the meeting on Friday to help support a campaign to save this country's National Health Service. This lapel badge says it all...

Hello Gildersleeve. Just wanted to say that your life is not dull at the moment. I really look forward to reading everyday. We all live ordinary lives, not always full of exciting times, but just life. Reading your Blog is something that I look forward to every single day. I think we are all sociologists at heart, and love to have a little peek into other peoples lives.

I'll tell you what Lorna...it's better than being told bad news or finding something to worry you. In general you are quite right most lives are routine...and I often find myself counting my blessings.

Something or someone comes along, often out of the blue to make a difference.

I can always learn from others and am quite open to new experiences.

There is a free concert in a Church in Durham(classical)next Wednesday, if I can be sure I can catch the last bus home I may just take off and see it.

With interval(if it comes in at around two hours)I can just about manage it.

I agree - it is so much to live a life on the level without huge highs and lows. We just count our blessings that nothing bad is happening in our lives/families lives each day. Life is unpredictable by it's very nature, and none of us knows what is around the corner.
I'm happy with my very ordinary life. Many people would think of my life as boring, but that is not how I feel at all.
Your Concerts always sound nice.
It was so nice to see Isla StClair (sp?) on your Blog last week. Many lovely memories of watching her on the Generation Game on Sautrday nights. She always seemed such a sweet and gentle soul to me.
It's not been a bad day here today, even a bit of sunshine. I can't help wishing for a little colder weather before the winter draws to an end. I love the winter, my friends just can't understand me!

I think it's great that you might go out of your way to support the NHS. I work for the NHS and this government is going all out to dismantle it and create a two tier system, those that can pay and those that can't. Bad news stories in the press every day, hospitals have less money to do more work. Private healthcare providers getting more and more NHS money. In Surrey where I live our community nursing service is now run by Virgin Healthcare!

It is scary what is happening and I have heard from people I know I can trust a lot of what is going so for you working in the service it must be heart breaking.

If there is anything I can report I will...

I hope it is reported...somewhere, anywhere. Many such events depend on Twitter.

Some events do get exposure in the local media but I must admit if I did not get direct messages etc...but a quick look through the schedule this last day or two there have been things going on that I could not consider on distance or did not know of.

Yep, the videos are great x

You are never dull. I am reading each new entry now. You give a picture of a real area of the UK in detail through your own life, which isn't available through national newspapers and TV Gives me something else to think about sitting here with the thermometer at 4 degrees F and 10 inches of frozen snow on the ground.

I sent a message which wasn't printed--your choice of course or maybe "moderated" which I don't understand, never mind. If this isn't printed I won't write again--but will go on reading with interest.

I wonder which comment was not published? Puzzled face...as far as I know I have published all comments that you have sent to me...

Was it the one for a post going back to 2008? If so I have published it and commented too.

I welcome your input...give a clue if you are able...

Take Care

I have had a quick look in my e-mail inbox which is as full as its ever been in years with e-mails from Twitter and other websites and cannot see anything I have missed posting in the comments section. So I'm baffled. Scratches head, confused face.
