I Have Been Naughty...

and spent some money...whilst I can.

This is an exciting post...not!

Remember the fruit bowl? I have now purchased a lime green bowl and transferred the fruit into that. The bowl I was using will now be put to use when I mix flour or batter for baking cakes or bread again.

I have no idea if I'll ever really use them but I have purchased a 2ltr cooling bag in green with carry handles or shoulder strap. I also have a picnic blanket/rug that's a little thicker than a normal one, that's in blue. Better than a beach towel. I have a purchased one mug in the same colour as the fruit bowl. I was going to buy a plate and cutlery too but in a slightly different coloured green I found I could have four bowls, cutlery and plates for less than one of each of those I was considering.

I don't really go out for picnics or far from home and my rucksack does me fine, being single. However, if I get to the Proms in the Park this weekend and the weather is fine and I have to be there early in case a fair crowd turns up I thought I can take the rug and a cushion to lay down on and be a bit more comfortable.

If the weather is hot I can perhaps take some fruit, a salad or rolls. A couple of small lagers in the cool bag. Perhaps a small bottle of cola. In the rucksack I can carry a flask of hot water so I can make tea or coffee. The picnic rug has a handle but I think I can put it in the rucksack. And as the day goes on the cool bag and rucksack will become lighter.

The biggest problem I have is no matter how careful I am, I keep breaking/chipping mugs without often realising and I have a couple of new one's, good job they are only £1 a time. Must try to be more careful.

They say it's going to be really hot this weekend. You just make sure that you're in the shade!

I could buy some suncream(I don't have any hair on top of my head)I better take a baseball cap.

I could take a short sleeved leisure shirt and if it gets cooler in the evening perhaps a light jerkin.

Will probably just take the rucksack on Sunday(with plenty of water)for the bands parading around Durham.

The biggest worry these days is finding public toilets...
