Still Got My Head Cold...
And given in to buying some sweets to ease the throat(it's not sore)but when I get the tickle...I sure can cough! I may stay up tonight as I cough less when not in bed and I must have driven next door bonkers with all the coughing I was doing overnight. I can at least go to bed during the day when they are out and try and sleep.
I may take some paracetemols and do my own version of Lemsip later(after all)all it is is warm lemonade and paracetemols and you pay silly money for that. I can do it for approx 20p a drink. I assume there is something similar in the US and other countries...
As such I don't feel that bad considering, its more annoying than anything else.

Aw, I'm sorry to hear about the cold, Gildy. :o(
Sounds similar to ThermaFlu we have here.
And your right. Better and cheaper to do your own version.

I may have health problems but I don't get colds/coughs but this present head cold knocked me sideways...I spent days in bed just about managing to have troubled restless sleep interspaced with coughing(my neighbours must have been tired of listening to me)
I even stayed up through the night a couple of times and sneaked to bed in the early morning to try not to disturb them. But I lost almost 3-4 days and did not start eating until late yesterday.
I tried to get liquids into me and I got a thumping headache(again something I don't usually suffer with)so can't decide if that was due to the coughing and blowing of my nose(so I assume that would be a sinus thing)or if perhaps I was dehydrated a little.
Its awful when you can't be bothered...
That comedy show was booked ages ago and nearly I nearly pulled out of it, as I had to earlier in the week with the Music Club on my town but I seemed to be well enough tonight to attend but worried that I may have a coughing fit and disrupt things, I switched from the I had seat at the front to the back row(still a good seat as it happens)May consider it again(still close enough to see the performer, as it was raised and I was on the aisle, I could see the whole stage)but the idea was I could get out quick with the minimum of disruption if I started t0o cough...you know what happened though...
I never coughed once so lost out on the original seat.
Due to a mix up and unbeknown to me I thought that I was running late so I got a taxi to the theatre to discover the show was starting 30 minutes later than my ticket said which added more cost to the night and I had the time all along to use the bus and could've saved money. One of those things.
It was a good night though. It wasn't as chilly tonight weatherwise so I was quite warm.
And I had earlier in the day managed to get some more food on offer and had mad myself some wholemeals buns containing some ham and pease pudding)so ate them on a seat outside the theatre, I had cereal bar and some small bottles of drinks in my rucksack.
Soon we put the clocks forward and hopefully we'll have lighter nights and warmer days anyhow.
If you hear him on Radio 4 Extra/Radio 4 the comedian was John Shuttleworth and he was very good.
Still don't know if he uses his real name(though the character he plays is made up)or whether the name is false too but the place was full and all ages were present(some I thought might not even know him)but they did and they really applauded, cheered and laughed.
It was a good night.
Yes, I've heard of John Shuttle worth. According to Wikipedia, the character is made up. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Shuttleworth_(character)#Radio
So, so glad you made it to the show! I was really hoping you'd be well enough.
Doing all the seating changes for nothing sounds par for the course, doesn't it? :o/ Sure enough, if you hadn't you'd have had cough fits all evening! :oP
I don't go a lot of places either, so I don't pick-up to many bugs. Whatever I get is usually brought home from those who do venture forth. I get pretty adamant about them washing-up when they get home, especially during flu season. I'm on steroids too. :oP
Well, glad you enjoyed it! :o)
