On The Wages...

most are being paid, many are looking for work, struggling to pay bills, getting hammered if you have to take help from the State, by seeing the amount reduced, withdrawn, refused by changes coming in, the Government have now come up with the following idea.

I'll just link to the story. Click on this link...

Many people are unsure that they will have a decent pension when they retire whether they have saved privately or not. No one knows what their savings will be like never mind a pension. Many continue to help their children(if they have family)all through their lives whatever their age, they always have...financially or in kind. It's an idea for now.

Another idea is being introduced this week. If you work you will be automatically enrolled into a scheme where a certain percentage will be taken from your wage each week and supposedly given back to you when you retire as part of your pension but if the wages are already low and you are having difficulty living on the wage you receive to see it reduced still further must be a worry. Perhaps it could  mean that you will have to apply for help from the State to make up the income lost now.

How much more do they think the ordinary person in the street has?

Savings and property for a long time has had to go towards the care of those whose needs for care increases as their health deteriorates and care may be needed either in your home or you perhaps are put into a Nursing Home so spare cash to help your family is not guaranteed unless you try to diverse yourself of capital over the years because the days have gone where your assets were passed onto family at your demise. And as more people live longer this will happen even more and of course many have no families and are single so lots of money does go back to the State.

Why don't you stop worrying about what the state is doing and take control of your own life.

The state is governed by thousands of people all with their own ideas, sometimes going this way, sometimes going another way, it always has been, so if you keep watching what its doing next it will drive you nuts in the end.

The state has no idea where it will be in six months time,so how can you worry about what it will be doing in six months time? there maybe wars,food/oil shortages?,held to ransom? who knows what.

You may yearn for a Labour Government but even if they were in power today they could not afford to run the country as they did ten years ago.

So what you have to do is say stuff the state look at your own life and what your goals are and how you can achieve that under your own steam.

My comments using the latest post as an example don't affect me but I have a right to comment and say if I think something is stupid.

On the other hand some of the changes I do mention in my blog are likely to/will affect me.

And if you are uninformed it does not give you chance to try and reverse or be ready for what's happening to try and take control of your situation.

That is why I have had to think of bringing in a lodger.

Why I took measures regarding building up my food store, my few gadgets to save using as much energy when I cook, looked for a deal on the utility bills, wear more clothes to try to avoid using the central heating and keep warm etc...

As to where my political leanings are, a change of who is running the country is unlikely to make a difference, the main parties are similar.

I think your line "The state has no idea where it will be in six months time" is never truer. :-)
