I Don't Do Hay Fever...
But think I have it...no streaming eyes thankfully but my throat is a bit "iffy" and I have slightly blocked nose. Coincidence that my garden has started to be knocked into shape?
I now have a date for my front door. Monday June 23rd June. I see Tim Brooke Taylor in the evening in conversation at a local theatre.
I have done very little and to be honest there is no reason to go out. Where would I go at 8pm? A ride out on a bus for the sake of it and seeing what I have seen many times? The supermarket(I see that nearly every day and it means spending money)
Having one of my unsettled days where peace is hard to find. I'm troubled but not sure why exactly.

How about doing some voluntary work?
It would
1. Get you out of the house
2. stop you worrying/thinking so much about yourself and your health
3. Give you a sense of purpose and fullfillment
4. Give you a structure to your days
5. Stop you sleeping the days away.
Even with health problems, there would be SOMETHING you could do, even if only for a couple of hours.
Hey, thanks Anon...hopefully I will once more again. Already positive again and feeling good. I knew it would be temporary. I did voluntary work for around 30 years.
Often I really have to push myself so much that it takes ages to recover.
Most of the time I can follow a kind of plan. I have a few days ahead of me with a purpose now.
The weekend I am with a friend watching a steam railway, Sunday campaigning for our health service and a couple of nights I will be socialising, very simple but in the company of others.
I have some plans for some ways to spend the day time if the weather is fine too.
I wasn't really thinking about anything in particular so not about myself per say.
For various reasons you have to be a little careful doing voluntary work unless you are retired when you have health issues in the UK. I have more good days mentally than bad. I don't disagree with your post though xx
I might've been able to do more if I had not had to stay in because the garden was finally being pulled into shape. And in coming weeks there will be work going on in the house. So quite a bit to think of and keep me occupied. I will post and put up images...
Glad you are feeling chirpier.
Do consider the voluntary work, as I am sure it would stop you feeling restless and would get you out of the house.
You said you did voluntary work for 30 years....what did you work at then? Maybe you could pick it up again? Or something like it.
Apologies I have just discovered your comment, will explain why later today.
