It's New Year...

Does it feel any different?

I hope so.

All the very best for 2014 and I hope it is all you wish it to be x

just a reminder perhaps that the arrow of time continues on its ruthless march forward taking no prisoners along its wake.

That is so true...there will be both joy and sadness for all. And none of us are protected.

All the best to you.

I recall about this time last year, the weather was cold and snowy,I had visited my Mum and tired and weiry I had sat slumpt on the carpet in front of her fire and promptly fell asleep on her leg as she sat in her chair.I awoke to her combing my hair, It was so comforting as I immediately went back to those secure days of childhood,I thought this is NOW! no past or future nothing can take the NOW! away from me. A year later dear old Mum has gone, and once again this is NOW!and the other NOW is history.
William Shatner has a new record out, I like his tongue in cheek singing and choice of subjects. His new song is called 'What is time?' which I found very poignant.
I wish you a happy New Year.

Anon,
I can share your experience on so many levels. I always felt comfort and safe with both of my parents.

Time is a strange concept and is more than just the planning of a day and basic tasks that need doing. The present minute we find ourselves is all that we really have.

I will have to seek out the song that you mention, he can probably identify with it himself.

I believe that I may have found it on soundcloud, "Where does time go?" It would appear to be a piece of poetry written by Shatner married to progressive rock.

I wish you a Happy New Year too x
