I Have Purchased A Set Of Thermal Long Johns!
Unfortunately, colours were limited as were sizes. If I could've got blue or grey, I would've but my size was only available in white and many had short sleeves. Having said that each(The top and bottoms)were £10 each and had been reduced to £5 for each. Wish I'd looked sooner.
The problem with only having one set is they'll need washing regularly and when they are not being worn, I am not getting the benefit of them. I'll have to look in another shop or go online and perhaps invest in at least another half a dozen. And probably some vests and briefs on those days when hopefully it isn't as cold. I'll see if there are any thermals vests and briefs perhaps.
Perhaps I should invest in some pyjama's again after all these years but most seem to be made of cotton will they be warm enough?
It's hard to believe that for years I could go to bed wearing very little or even naked! Not now...

Oooooer.... too much info, Gildy!
There are some mens' Champion flannelette pyjamas on Ebay.....
£3.99 + £3.46 postage.
You must have been running your heating high to have never needed pyjamas ! Men's brushed cotton & wincyette pyjamas are warm.
Thanks for that VQ and Anon,
I was in general just a warm person but when you leave the heating off long enough the opposite is true.
I'm now wishing it was a hot summer. I have a big fan, I doubt that will ever be used ever again...on cost and because its no longer that warm.
I must look out a nice warm duvet or perhaps sheets in a similar material to the PJ's...I hear its going to be chilly at night and frosty again...
I better have a pair for when I go into hospital for that op...
I bet you look very smart in your long johns Gildy.
Jogging bottoms and a long sleeve t shirt (Primark, Tu at Sainsburys) make a very warm pair of pyjamas. I bought some for my loved one and he reckons they are very warm. Pair of slipper socks or bed socks and you are sorted! :D

If I have to buy on the net so be it but I'll have another look today in our small town centre and see if there are any more thermals and see what can be found regarding pyjamas or your suggestion Carol.
Guess jogging bottoms are a little different to track suit bottoms. And whilst I should have have a dozen long johns so I can change/wash them often(but perhaps do one weekly wash) a couple of pairs of PJ's or Long Sleeve T-shirts and bottoms would be enough.
Must make certain they are warm. Do that I may not need a heavy duvet/quilt.
I want to keep what I have clean but not be obsessed. Or over the top.
Underwear I can understand the need to be clean but I don't think that anyone washes their PJ's every few days...their PJ's sooner than that etc...
I'll have to see what the situation is regarding socks and slippers too.
In Tesco's there was something similar to PJ bottoms that they called something like lounge trousers. In fact if I could do a combination as you suggest they don't have to be in the style of traditional PJ's...
Slipperwise, I may be better to have slippers feet slip into rather than slip on's in case I trip up and it stops them coming off your feet.
That last paragraph doesn't scan very well just because I omitted the word "That"
Slipperwise, I may be better to have slippers that feet slip into rather than slip on's in case I trip up and it stops them coming off your feet.
