I've Started Trying To Look At Cheaper Energy Bills...

Ever felt like giving up?

I tried a comparison site and the two packages that came up online as best and when talking to an advisor were Npower August Bill Saver which runs until August 2013 but prices can go up or down within that period but it could save me a reasonable sum or EDF Blue+Plus Price Promise which runs until September 2013. I think that EDF has been running an ad on tv lately. Both mean paying by direct debit(monthly)You take electric and gas from one supplier. The EDF package is fixed and does not vary and is the lowest available, you can leave anytime and they will tell you if another company offers a lower tariff.

My problem is that previous gas bills cannot really be used to give an accurate comparison because Mum really used the heating and if I leave the heating off or use it sparingly that may not give a good idea what the next bill will be like. But the person at EDF thinks that she can cut my electric use by approx half per month. I am tempted...

And of course I am paying for each utility seperately at present(British Gas/N Power)Decisions, decisions...anyone who comments on my blog with any cheap deal or are you like me buying seperately and still with the companies you have always been?
