Happy Birthday To Me!

I sang Happy Birthday to myself and remembered how Mum would always sing it to me at the start and end of the day as I  did on her birthday...Thank you Mum x

Gosh, Thanks everyone :-)

So kind of you all.

It's not going so bad I suppose, better than I thought.

As I said on a later post I'm going to sort out the flower tubs, tidy the bedroom and make the effort to bother to do the same with myself.

If it was easy to get to a garden centre just for quickness and colour I'd buy some geraniums to put in the border just give some colour.

I was always quite good at growing my own marigolds and geraniums, to be honest...anyone can grow them, they are so easy...

I think you can order plants on line from garden centres & have them delivered.

I'd probably have to order a lot...we have B&Q DIY centres that have some good offers but its adding the cost of travelling there and back and they are all approx 7 miles away...

I'll see if the supermarket has anything suitable to go with what I found yesterday...

Even if I get some more marigolds and bizzie lizzies..they're simple but colourful.

Petunia's are nice but they never seem to last long with me no matter what I do, they get attacked by greenfly and usually they get long and straggly or the leaves/stems either are spoilt through a lack of water or too much...

Next year perhaps I'll bother more if still here. It would seem strange not having a garden after 50+ years...then maybe I will order more from the garden centre or our gardener...

I have a garden but find that, now I'm not so mobile, I can manage containers so much easier.
If it ever comes to moving to a flat, let's hope you have a balcony. You'd easily be able to manage a few containers there.

Yes, that could work quite well VQ...

Hope you received my e-mail BTW...

My birthday has passed over reasonably well except for one nasty incident that made me lose it for a time.

I am calmer now...

Happy belated birthday, my friend! :o)

So sorry I missed wishing you well on the day.

I haven't been doing much online recently, so I'm doing a major catch-up today.

Anyhoo, I'm glad it was a good day.

Jan :o)

Thank you Jan :-)

Sorry that I still haven't quite got up to speed and started to join in on the radio forum where we're members. I will get back into some kind of normality eventually, I suppose it's still early days yet and I have to find my own way through the grief and the situation.

Well, we miss you, of course, but you know there's no hurry.

We'd love to hear from you whenever you're ready. :o)
