I'm Away...

To have something to eat...

One pork burger, fried tomatoes, baked beans with some melted cheese and a jacket potato.

Labour tries to sell this illusion that everybody is nice and humane except those'rich' bankers and those who have been to public school.
Mr Milliband is a prime example that everybody is the same really-when he stitched up his very own brother in order to gain power. David Milliband was probably best man for the job? but that did not stop Ed's taste for power. From my own experience of working in factories, the 'poor' worker can be just as trecherous and greedy as the 'rich' factory owner.
All this wax lyrical about miner's 'communities' in the 1980s, when in fact one miner had a brick through his windscreen that caused him to crash and die.Other women of the so called 'community' refused to support his young widow and children because he was still a scab that had not gone on strike.

There is much in what you say Anon.

Since writing my post I have seen a detailed report of what's coming with the changes. Largely ignored by the media)and it's frightening.

Much of the public have no idea.

But if those attending yesterday think they'll be any better off and they'll get what they want from the alternative choice, they are so naive.

It's been called much as I say by the professional political commentators since on the radio...

Different to the pit village I lived in then!!

We can't be so much worse of than we are now, or are going to be.

Anon,

You are so right.

Well, anyone that is helped, on a low income, loses their job, becomes ill or cares for someone...watch out!

Anyone who seems ok now, will see a drop in their income too but with a larger income coming in they may be able to absorb the costs. However they'll have to do without essentials(in their eyes)

Luxuries in our's, they may feel the pinch more because they've overstretched themselves so when things go wrong it may hurt more.

Those already scrimping and saving are used to it...

Someone on another site said what they dislike is how the media and politicians are demonising groups.

That society is turning against each other. If we are all too busy attacking each other, how can we pull together.

I think that's what they are hoping for but if they are not careful this tactic could backfire.
