Do We Ever Lose Our Childlike Innocence?
I found myself up in the early hours of this morning and as I was about to go to bed I found one of the very few DVD's I own. I wasn't looking for or in tending to watch a DVD. As said previously I haven't watched TV much for a long time and my radio has been on mainly as a distraction, a voice in the background.
However, I found a DVD with six Laurel And Hardy shorts on it!
I put it into the PC and suddenly I was still there forty minutes later. They brought back happy memories and the comedy was so simple, innocent and everything was as it was supposed to be.
It is still very difficult to accept the loss of Mum and being alone but I was able to smile and for a few minutes feel as though all was well. I'd rather we'd both been sharing watching the films.
Mum liked Laurel and Hardy and there was a time when they were always on the TV. I hope their absence isn't because its believed they still would not be enjoyed, I did hear some time ago the problem was over the broadcasting rights possibly they are too expensive and broadcasters won't pay or they are now seen on particular channels.
Of course I'm still the same when I woke up(I am just happy for now that I am able to sleep a little)but ask me that when I start looking into what the future holds and when I set the ball rolling about possibly needing some medical attention which I know will mean an operation and a short stay in hospital.
Perhaps when my internet Broadband goes live next week I will find more things to watch and listen to that will appeal and help me.
Music sites like Spotify perhaps...
And I can do more of that online(even comparing radio to that in the UK)
One such station comes from Africa of all places...called LM Radio...
And hear three of my favourite presenters from Pirate Radio Days, Roger Day, Dave Cash and Keith Skues...They are on local BBC Radio in the South...
And it may cheer me up but I may not feel that way when I have been to the CAB and I find how my finances may be or whether I can stay here a while longer. Fingers crossed.
